This Giving Tuesday, support scholarships for students who demonstrate a deep commitment to ICA's Campus Ministry through the Ruth Alonso Aviles Scholarship Matching Challenge.
Made possible by the generosity of Roselyn Hernandez ‘76, an ICA alumna and former board member, this campaign will match every gift dollar for dollar in honor of her mother.
"My involvement in Campus Ministry influenced how I hope to be involved in college. Through this experience, I was able to get a glimpse of a form of leadership and teamwork that I had not seen before."
- Judy T., Class of 2025
Freshman at UC Berkeley
The Ruth Alonso Aviles Scholarship:
Recipients of this scholarship are students who have demonstrated a deep commitment to ICA's Campus Ministry. Guided by ICA's Campus Minister, the Campus Ministry Student Group helps lead retreats, plan Masses, and host other events such as Bible studies and service-oriented fundraisers. In recent years, student involvement has grown significantly, reflecting students’ deep commitment to living their faith and supporting one another.
At ICA, faith formation is central to our mission of nurturing young women in faith, purpose, and service. Through Campus Ministry and annual class retreats, our students deepen their spirituality, build community, and grow as leaders who live out the Dominican pillars of prayer, study, community, and service. The Ruth Aviles Scholarship ensures that this transformative spiritual formation remains accessible to every student, regardless of financial circumstances or background.
